Worth a Visit: A free family private view

Abbot Hall Art Gallery, Kendal

Join us for this special families and young people’s private view of the new Barbara Hepworth exhibition. Our creative artists in residence will be on hand to tell you about In’Tent, our summer workshop programme. Pick up a free Worth a Visit badge too!

In’Tent Workshop: Closer to Hepworth

Abbot Hall Art Gallery, Kendal

Artist, Karen Lloyd will lead practical workshops using a range of media to get closer to the sculptures of Barbara Hepworth. Working on a large scale, this will be drawing like you’ve never done before!

Thursday – Saturday: 11am – 1pm and 2 – 4pm, Sundays: 2 – 4pm only. £10 includes one child on to workshop, admission to gallery for accompanying adult. £3 for each additional child.

Crawl at the Hall

Abbot Hall Art Gallery, Kendal

Crawl at the Hall is our weekly event for the under fives. Inspired by the exhibitions, our creative practitioners lead immersive sessions involving a range of thinking and making processes including mark-making, construction techniques, storytelling and role play.

10.30am – 11.30am. Children FREE, £3.00 per session per accompanying adult, Booking is essential as places are limited.

This popular young people’s (5 – 11 year olds) creative club is continuing during school term time. Each week there will be a new and exciting session happening led by creative practitioners Anne-Marie Quinn, Ellie Chaney and/or Karen Lloyd. Also with the option to work towards the nationally recognised Arts Award ‘Discover’ and ‘Explore’ Awards.

11am – 1pm. £3.00 per session per child, accompanying adults FREE, Booking is essential as places are limited.
