Blaze, part of WE PLAY, the North West cultural legacy programme for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, have been leading the way in achieving Arts Award and specifically with Gold Arts Award.

Below we have two short case studies from young producers on the Blaze programme who used their skills and opportunities, offered through the Blaze Festival, to bring their Gold Arts Award’s to life and achieve the qualification.

We also have two case studies that show, with advice and support through Curious Minds, helped the Blaze programme train up two fantastic Arts Award Advisers in Laura and Rachel.

Through their experiences of Arts Award Anthony and Hannah are now forging ahead with their careers in the arts and cultural industries and Laura and Rachel are building strong foundations for the next generation of young people in Burnely and  Lancashire, through  Blaze and other arts and cultural programmes. Lancashire surely has a golden and blazing legacy for Arts Award.
