Showcasing the creativity of disabled and deaf young people from Merseyside.

Would you like the opportunity to perform in front of a large audience at a prestigious theatre? Are you aged between 12 to 25 and disabled, deaf or living with a long term illness or condition?

We are looking for groups or individuals to perform at this year’s Young DaDaFest on Thursday 25th June 2015. The event will take place from 6pm to 8:30pm at the Everyman Theatre. Young DaDaFest is planned and organised by our Young Peoples Leadership Group.

Our aim is develop and nurture young disabled artists by giving them a platform to perform in front of a large audience.

The themes of this year’s Young DaDaFest are Freedom, Barriers and Respect; we would want all performers to produce work based on these themes up to a maximum of ten minutes in length.

If you are interested in performing we are asking you to send an expression of interest with the following information:

  • How your performance would respond to the themes (Freedom, Barriers and Respect), include as much details as possible about your performance
  • Name of you / your group
  • Where you are based, when do you practise/rehearse?
  • How would you practise/rehearse for the performance?
  • Are you an individual or a group, if you are a group how many people are in your group and what ages are they?

You can send us your expression of interest in any format as long as it contains the above information, please don’t’ hesitate to contact us if you need support or guidance to complete your expression of interest.

The Young DaDa Leadership Group will discuss the expression of interests the week commencing the 9th March, they will then shortlist acts. The shortlisted acts will then be asked to prepare an audition and the Young DaDa Leadership Group will visit them to find out more information in order to select the performances we would like at this year’s Young DaDaFest event.

The deadline for all expression of interests is Friday 6th March; unfortunately we cannot accept any entries after this date.
