We want to hear your concerns
We at Curious Minds know that many impactful grassroots and small cultural organisations are bracing themselves for yet another crisis.
We know you pulled out all the stops to keep delivering inspiring activities for children and young people during the Covid-19 pandemic. We know that wasn’t easy. Then, with the support of Arts Council England
, Esmée Fairbairn Foundation
and the Paul Hamlyn Foundation
, we were proud to create a number of rapid response programmes which mobilised the sector. Together, we used the power of arts and culture to improve the lives of young people living through extreme circumstances and to boost the resilience of the grassroots cultural education sector.
We saw how you were able to reach into communities to make life better for some of the most vulnerable children. We know many of you and the young people you work with are still recovering from that time.
We also know many of you will now be seeing headlines about rising costs and getting alarming estimated energy bills. We are concerned that, now, the very same organisations and young people could find themselves at the sharp end of cost of living rises this winter.
What we don’t know is exactly what impact this could have on you and those you work with. We really want and need to understand it better.
