Don’t know what teens want to see in your museum, why not ask them?

Teen Workshop
Imperial War Museum North 1st July 2014, 10:00 – 15:00
Cost: £95

Check out the line up of fantastic speakers for the Teen Workshop at IWM North on the 1st July 2014. It promises to be a full day of inspiring discussions and ideas to help you get more teenagers in your museum.

Headlining will be Alma Berliner from Ipsos Mori, Rebecca Mason from Heritage Lottery Fund and Ann Bukantas from the Walker Art Gallery with Bev Ayre from Homotopia.

The famous Five Minute Blasts will be a pacey feature in the morning session to help get the creative juices going. You’ll be hearing from Fiona Young of National Museums Scotland, Mark Gibbs of Tullie House and Andrea Winn from Manchester Museum, as well as finding out about Kids in Museums’ Our Take project from Sam Self.

On top of that you will be finding out what youth members of the Imperial War Museum’s Youth Panel and Manchester Museum’s Youth Board have been doing. Then it’ll be your chance to ask them questions. A themed discussion session will give you the chance to find out what it is that teens really want to see and do in museums.

So if you don’t know what teens want to see in your museum, why not ask them? Take this opportunity to share ideas, enjoy challenging discussion and see best practice techniques in action, by booking your place here at www.kidsinmuseums.org.uk/workshops/

Don’t miss out!
