The 3rd V&A Sanctuary evening will be held at the Haworth Art Gallery, Accrington on Thursday 29th January, 5.30 – 8pm

What is Sanctuary? A chance to recharge your creative batteries and work with artists, designers and makers. Enjoy meeting other creative teachers, try out new techniques, develop your own creative talents and get inspiration to take back to the classroom. The session has been developed in cooperation with staff from the Victoria & Albert Museum and builds on their own workshops which have been running successfully for several years.

The session will be led by artist, Lee Crocker, who has drawn all his life and has had experience as a freelance illustrator. His main passion is sketchbooks and he has a collection spanning over 30 years of his life.

Lee will talk about his artistic practice and show you how to make your own sketchbook which you will then use during a sketching tour of the Haworth Art Gallery. This will also be a rare opportunity to have an after-hours look around the largest and most important collection of Art Nouveau and Tiffany Glass in Europe.

Places are extremely limited and cost £8, which includes refreshments and materials.

To book, contact Yvonne Robins on 01254-233782 or email Yvonne.robins@hyndburnbc.gov.uk
