We are seeking an enthusiastic young person between the ages of 16-20 to join the Engagement team at the Bluecoat starting in July for 12 weeks on a paid work experience placement.

You will work alongside our participation team who run workshops and events with communities and individuals across the city, helping people to gain access to the great quality arts experiences we have at the Bluecoat and with our marketing team who spread the word far and wide about the work of the Bluecoat.

Who are you?

You are a young person between the age of 16- 20 who is interested in arts, culture, galleries and museums (the Bluecoat has everything from visual art to dance to music festivals!). You’ll be interested in getting some work experience and trying new things.

What will you get?

  • The opportunity to do a 12 week paid work placement working in one of the oldest buildings in Liverpool’s city-centre.
  • The chance to understand how an arts organisation works and what job opportunities are out there
  • The opportunity to develop your skills in the workplace and learn how to operate as part of a team
  • You will be paid at National Minimum Wage or above dependent on your age
  • An employer’s reference for your CV
  • The chance to do a bronze Arts Award (artsaward.org.uk)
