How to Engage Schools

On Tuesday 29 April, Sarah Campbell, Head of Schools, Families and Young People Learning at the V&A, delivered a session for museum and heritage educators focusing on how to engage schools.

This was one of April’s few days of early summer sunshine. The 16th century Towneley Hall and surrounding park basked in the warmth, showcasing this much loved heritage asset to its visitors in the best possible light.  Delegates came to the Lancashire venue from a variety of heritage attractions and discussion during the day benefited from this diversity of experience.

Sarah facilitated a range of activities that gave space for reflection, sharing, adventure and discovery, producing both insight and inspiration.

Participants commented, “(we) loved the playfulness, a really good balance of activities in groups.”

“We came away looking at engaging schools and other audiences in a completely different light and very much inspired.”

“Thank you for last weeks session. I learned a lot, enjoyed it & came back with loads of ideas”

It is our pleasure to welcome Sarah back to repeat this event on July 11 in partnership with Museums Development North West. To book your ticket visit the following link http://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/how-to-engage-schools-2-tickets-11052435131?aff=eorg
