Digital & Marketing Intern – 6 month fixed-term paid placement

Grade: Internship

Hours: 37 hours per week      6 month Fixed Term Contract

Salary: £11,640 – £14,719      Pro rata (£6.50 – £7.65 per hour)

Based: Burnley with occasional travel across the region.

Reports to: Manager for Inclusion and Engagement

Curious Minds is pleased to be able to offer a unique opportunity for an energetic 18 -24 year old to develop their digital and marketing skills within a high profile and highly regarded arts and education charity.

As  Arts Council England’s Bridge organisation for the North West, we support schools, youth services and local authorities to connect children and young people with the region’s best arts and cultural organisations. Our mission is to improve and enrich the lives of children and young people by increasing opportunities for their active engagement in inspirational arts, culture and creative learning.

As our Digital and Marketing Intern, you will play a key role in positioning and raising the profile of Curious Minds, focusing on building relationships with schools and youth sector organisations. You will support the development and maintenance of the Culture Hubs online information portal (www.culturehubs.co.uk) and provide support to other key programmes including Strong Voices and Trailblaze (please see: www.curiousminds.org.uk for more information)

On completion of the internship you will be able to demonstrate:

  • experience of developing strong working relationships with a range of individuals and organisations
  • enhanced communication and marketing skills
  • a sound working knowledge and understanding of business and administrative procedures associated with a busy charity and office environment.
  • experience of setting up and delivering events

Whilst we have high expectations for the post we would welcome applications from people with the capacity to grow into the role.

Please note: this opportunity has been created through funding from the Creative Employment Programme.  This means that we can only accept applications from people aged 18-24 years who are currently registered as unemployed.
