Trailblaze: Wanted – Young Event Producers

On Monday 2nd March we held our annual Arts Award celebration event at The Lowry in Salford.

Arts Award Blast was a great opportunity for Advisers from around the North West to come together to share their experiences of delivering Arts Award to young people throughout the region. It was wonderful to hear from Julia Fawcett, Chief Executive of the Lowry, who gave the keynote address and spoke about the fantastic work the venue does to engage young people and in general about the value of the arts for a young person’s development. We were able to hear from pupils of Queen Elizabeth’s School in Kirkby Lonsdale about their experiences of completing a range of Arts Award levels and they were kind enough to sit in on some of the round-table discussions to give their unique perspective and advice to other Advisers.

Keep your eyes open for our upcoming Arts Award Blast dedicated e-bulletin, in which we’ll share stories, lessons learned and resources from a great day of collaboration and networking.
