An extraordinary opportunity to drive inclusion and creativity in cultural education

We’re looking for a passionate and ambitious Programme Manager to join our small but mighty team at Curious Minds.

This is a critical role for a dynamic change-maker who wants to amplify underrepresented voices, diversify the cultural education workforce, and help shape a more inclusive creative future for children and young people.

About this role

Curious Minds’ vision is for a future where being creative and experiencing brilliant culture is a regular part of every child’s learning and life. We work strategically across the North of England to tackle unequal access to creativity and culture for children and young people.

We are also passionate about advancing anti-racist practice, amplifying working-class voices and championing disability inclusion.

As Programme Manager (Inclusion), you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering bold initiatives that:
  • Champion inclusion and anti-racism within Curious Minds and the cultural education sector.
  • Foster professional networks, like the Curious Creatives Network, where diverse creatives connect, collaborate, and grow.
  • Innovate new programmes to remove barriers, broaden opportunities, and diversify the workforce.
This is an opportunity to combine strategic insight with hands-on delivery - turning big ideas into meaningful action.

We're looking for someone who...

  • Cares deeply about inclusion, diversity, and creating access to creativity for children and young people in and out of school.
  • Understands the challenges facing underrepresented communities and is motivated to drive change.
  • Your lived experience or professional expertise in creating inclusive spaces is not just welcomed – it’s valued.
  • Brings experience in leading programmes within cultural, education, or community settings.
  • Is a confident facilitator, skilled communicator, and inspiring collaborator.
  • Can act as a proactive advocate for inclusion, representing Curious Minds at the forefront of change.
  • Can inspire and influence meaningful change by delivering innovative programmes that celebrate diversity and challenge inequalities in access to arts and culture.
You don’t need to know everything... but you’ll have the passion, curiosity, and drive to learn and make an impact. The role combines strategy and hands-on delivery, offering opportunities to lead, influence, and collaborate with creatives, educators, and cultural leaders.
