Turning ideas into impact

We believe change begins with curiosity. 

That’s why we co-create learning programmes that connect young people with brilliant artists and creative practitioners, sparking new ideas, skills and ways of seeing the world.

Working in partnership with teachers, teaching artists and cultural organisations, our programmes respond to real challenges and address pressing issues. Each one is shaped by evidence, local need and young people’s voices. 

We bring together schools, communities and cultural partners to test what works and grow what matters.

Our programmes support young people to lead the way, developing their artistry and creative voice, and shaping practice that inspires future policy and innovation.

Alternative Saturday Jobs

Paid work experience placements in the arts and cultural sector. Helping young people learn about creative career paths and get a 'foot in the door'.
Young People Programmes Careers & Skills

Pushing Boundaries

The Pushing Boundaries project ran in 2022-23 and supported artists from refugee or migrant backgrounds to work creatively in schools.
Education Creative & Cultural Celebrating Excellence Programmes

Curious Works

Curious Works offers creative sector-focused, practical, skills development and work experience opportunities for young people in Wigan and Leigh. Running for a second year in 2025-26.
Young People Programmes Careers & Skills

Curious Citizens

Curious Citizens focuses on opening doors for children who would not normally have access to such experiences nor opportunity to grow their cultural capital outside school.

Hope Streets took groups of young people on an expedition into the past; to delve into the hidden history of their local places and spaces.
