Curious Works is back for a second year - offering paid creative work placements, free training, and career guidance for young people aged 16-25 in Wigan and Leigh.

What is Curious Works?

Curious Works offers creative sector-focused skills development and work experience for young people in Wigan and Leigh.

Whether you’re just starting out or looking for a new direction, Curious Works can help you build the skills, confidence, and experience to take your next step.

Delivered by Curious Minds, with funding from Greater Manchester Combined Authority and WEA, it supports young people aged between 16 and 25 who are interested in exploring a career in the creative or cultural sectors.

Curious Works offers:

Paid, short-term work placements: get experience in real creative workplaces
1-to-1 careers info, advice and guidance: plan your next steps with people who get it

If you are:

Aged 16-25
Into music, film, fashion, photography, design, digital content or anything creative
Based in Wigan Borough
Not sure what to do next after school, college or uni
Wondering about career options in the creative industries

Then yes, Curious Works could be right up your street.

Come and say hello in person: Join us at our drop-in session on 19th August from 11am - 2pm at The Edge, Wigan. It’s a relaxed space to find out more - bring a friend or a support worker if you’d like.
