We're recruiting our next cohort of Culture and Arts Schools Experts
Many cultural organisations are experiencing a high degree of challenge in maintaining or developing members of staff who can dedicate themselves to schools work. Similarly, schools are also experiencing huge challenges to their ability to protect their arts and cultural provision and more than ever are in need of strong ambassadors for cultural education.
The CASE Programme Fellowship is an investment from Curious Minds designed to protect, nurture and develop a team of credible schools experts from within the North West’s cultural sector who can strengthen the ability of cultural organisations to work in partnership with schools. The CASE Fellows will take that passion and expertise with them as they develop as future leaders of learning departments, artistic director or managers of venues. Now in its second year, the impact of the programme is being felt across the region.
I applied for CASE as I felt that I was at that point in my career where I wanted to develop my leadership skills. I have definitely begun to plan and think more strategically and look at the wider impact of Cultural Education beyond my field and expertise of Drama. I felt that before CASE I was in my own bubble in my organisation. Whereas, now when working for schools, I understand the importance of advocating for not just Drama, but the arts in general and feel better equipped in signposting schools to arts organisations and opportunities as I am aware of the wider offer in the North West."
Curious Minds is currently recruiting for the 2018-19 CASE Fellowship programme.
