Tender Opportunity: IT Support
August 6, 2015Valuing Cultural Education Conference
August 11, 2015The Dukes offer a range of weekly Youth Theatre groups from the age of 7 upwards and a weekly music group. They’re also very proud of our inclusive theatre work and provide weekly sessions for young people and adults with learning disabilities, a Deaf Drama group and Alternative Outcomes (adults with experience of street homelessness).
All our groups work towards at least one production a year and perform in one of the three spaces at The Dukes.
Sessions are fun, and provide members with skills, knowledge and experiences that you won’t find anywhere else in Lancaster!
- Work with professional directors, designers, writers and theatre makers on a weekly basis
- Develop skills in performing arts, team work, communication and creative expression
- Meet like-minded young people who share your love of theatre
- Learn about life in a professional theatre environment
- Create exciting and innovating productions
- Have fun!
There are limited places for each group and these are filled on a first come first served basis. Our Youth Theatre runs for three terms: Autumn, Spring & Summer at a cost of £60 per term (see their website for more details*).
Each term contains 12 weeks with a session every week making sure to break for half term!
Registration for 2015/2016 is now open! You can download your form here – please return it to The Dukes Box Office by Monday 31 August 5pm
