Curious Minds secures Arts Council England funding until 2022

Cultural education charity, Curious Minds, is delighted to confirm that it has been awarded funding for four years, from 2018-2022, by Arts Council England as part of its National Portfolio.

The funding will enable the charity to continue its work with schools, cultural organisations, museums and libraries across the North West of England, to improve the lives of children and young people by increasing opportunities for their active participation in arts and culture.

Curious Minds Chief Executive, Derri Burdon, said:

“A cultural deficit impacts the lives of too many children and young people in the North West, reducing their life chances and limiting their ability to thrive.  At Curious Minds we are proud to be awarded the chance lead the region’s efforts to meet this ‘Cultural Education Challenge’.

“We are looking forward to working closely with our wide network of cultural partners in the North West, both those with and without National Portfolio status, to drive innovation in cultural education and ensure all children can lead a cultured, creative and fulfilling life through 2022 and beyond.”
