We're looking for new Trustees

An exciting opportunity to play a key role within the region's leading arts education charity by applying your existing skills in a new and exciting context.

Curious Minds is the North West's award winning sector support organisation for cultural and creative education. As part of a national network of 10 Bridge organisations we work to connect children and young people, schools and communities with great arts and culture. Having secured Arts Council England funding until 2022 and with a healthy level of free reserves, we are about to enter another exciting phase of organisational development.

As we continue to grow, we are looking to recruit new Trustees to complement the skills of our existing board. We are committed to creating a diverse board which is representative of the people Curious Minds serves. We welcome applications from all people and would be especially glad to hear from BAME and disabled people. We are particularly keen to hear from people who have specific expertise including: finance, fundraising, sales, education, health, academic research, digital technologies, public relations or legal. Candidates should share our passion for the North West region and want to celebrate and promote the valuable role arts, creativity and heritage play in the lives of children and young people.

Curious Minds' Trustees play a vital role in the organisation, steering and supporting its devel-opment. Existing Trustees tell us that volunteering in such a significant role is hugely energising and satisfying. There are lots of benefits to becoming a trustee, including enhancing your CV, building social and professional connections and the challenge of being involved in something completely new. As a Curious Minds Trustee you will gain satisfaction from knowing that you will be helping to improve the lives of children and young people by increasing opportunities for them to engage in the very best arts, culture and creativity our region has to offer.

Board meetings are held four times a year at our Preston office. In addition to this, there may be occasional committee meetings or meetings of specific task groups. Trustees are also invited to attend Curious Minds' events and conferences.

Salary: These are voluntary positions and expenses can be claimed
Contract: 3 - year term wth option to extend
Location: Meetings are held mainly in Preston but occasionally in other places across the North West region.
