Our Impact in Schools

Keenly ambitious for their pupils, parents and communities, schools that work with Curious Minds know the best way to stay ahead is to innovate. They are uncompromising in their determination to get results and equally uncompromising in taking the richest, most stretching and meaningful route to success.

Curious Minds makes classrooms more purposeful, more creative

Our Services for Schools have been developed through our acclaimed delivery of the Creative Partnerships programme (to learn more about Creative Partnerships, please visit the programme’s website ).

Over the past eight years we have been a partner to 350 primary, secondary and SEN schools and have worked with over 4,000 teachers and school leaders. Alternatively, you can read case studies specific to primary, secondary or SEN education or read feedback from teachers and school leaders on the difference we have made.

In an independent survey conducted by the British Market Research Bureau, the vast majority of headteachers involved in the Creative Partnerships programme said they had seen an increase in their colleagues’ willingness to adopt a more creative approach to teaching and learning. This is an approach that really delivers results, having been independently proven to:

  • improve the academic achievement of pupils who take part by an average 2.5 GCSE grades
  • lead to lower absence rates - a 20% reduction on average within Creative Partnerships schools over a period of four years
  •

Creative practitioners were very well trained and well matched to school priorities and needs. Often the outcomes of programmes could be seen in changed attitudes and behaviours... it included teachers who previously lacked belief in their own creativity and ability to inspire creativity in others, and pupils who were previously unconvinced by approaches to learning or the value of education

...so wrote Ofsted in 2006, having visited four of our schools. To read more about what Ofsted have said about us, CLICK HERE

Outcomes like these give your school a real edge with parents and carers, as do the changes they notice in their children’s confidence and communication levels, and their passion for school – a knock-on effect of learning experiences that are so exciting that children can’t help but talk about them at home. A number of independent reports have found our approach to be a powerful force for strengthening home-school relations and parental involvement - for example, ‘Their Learning Becomes Your Journey’
