Children & Young People Now Awards Success for Curious Minds

Cultural education charity, Curious Minds, is delighted to receive a prestigious national award for its work to improve the lives of children and young people across the North West of England, by increasing opportunities for their active participation in arts and culture.

The Children & Young People Now Awards are the gold standard for everyone working with children, young people and families. They recognise and showcase learning, dedication, innovation and best practice across the public, private and voluntary sectors.

Chief Executive, Derri Burdon, together with members of the Curious Minds team, were present to receive the Arts & Culture Award, at a glittering awards ceremony on 22nd November at The Royal Lancaster, London.

Commenting on the achievement, Derri said:

“I’m absolutely thrilled to receive this award on behalf of the whole team at Curious Minds – all of whom work tremendously hard on a daily basis to improve opportunities and outcomes for young people.

Despite the difficult climate, Curious Minds continues to broker innovative partnerships and programmes that connect thousands of children to life affirming cultural and experiences. This award recognises the dedication of all the teachers and parents, schools and governors, cultural organisations and artists, children and young people who are choosing to work with us as champions for art and culture.”
